The 'Fourth solution' works! And it is so simple and it works with a little change. You can also import data from a specific sheet in the Excel file. This file must have a specific format to be imported in SOLIDWORKS Electrical. Click File > Options, then in the Excel Options dialog, click Advanced from left pane, then in the right section, the Editing options group, uncheck Use system separator, then type comma into the Decimal separator box to instead of the decimal point, and type decimal point to the Thousand separator box to replace the comma. This standalone utility let you quickly analyse and transform your raw point data. When ready to insert, the drawing view must be pre-selected for the Excel Based Bill of Materials option to be available.
